Rehabilitation Services

Sandy with Koa
Physical therapy has been used in human medicine for years. Now, this form of using exercises to strengthen muscle, is crossing over and can benefit your pet. This will facilitate a speedier recovery from surgery, improved function, and will help return motor skills in some instances.
Will physical therapy help my pet?
Physical therapy can benefit pets in many cases, for example, post orthopedic surgery, neurologic deficiencies and even obesity. Please consult you veterinarian before attempting any exercises on your own, as some exercises can hurt your pet’s progress.
What tools are used?
Tools that are used during physical therapy include laser therapy, electric muscle stimulator, isometric bands, and other equipment that will assist with therapeutic exercises. I have been practicing canine rehabilitation for over 4 years. Physical therapy is a passion that fulfills. It makes me very happy to see our four legged friends make a recovery after a traumatic incident.
